Ecards

Hallmark provides free ecards: postcards, invitations, photo cards, animated and interactive styles. Premium ecards at $1.49 are available too. You may add a signature of up to 160 characters, but there is no altering the Hallmark verse. Look to the blank cards and photo cards if you want to write your own message. Customize and send evites, but RSVP service is not available.

Papercards

Choose your card, enter signature information, and have it sent to you for mailing or to your recipient by Hallmark. A Hallmark employee hand-signs your signature.

Security

Hallmark offers an adequate protection policy; they do not sell your personal information or use your address book information. They use SSL for credit card encryption. 

Ease of Use:  

It’s Hallmark. It works. When you send an ecard, the recipient can see your email address and has two ways to view the card. Click the link and your card comes up, but the recipient will have to see a lot of surrounding Hallmark messaging, and click to play. Not quite the impact of other sites. 

Selection:  

Hallmark has a standard range of cards, but offers fewer choices than American Greetings. If there is a particular line you like, it’s here, from Vera Wang to Barbie. Photo cards are a relatively new product from Hallmark, and are available as both paper cards and ecards. 

Quality:  

The quality of the ecards is consistent with the Hallmark brand. If you order a paper card, it arrives in an envelope of medium weight paper sealed with a gold crown sticker. 

Help/Support:  

Hallmark offers email and chat customer support as well as online help/FAQ files. If you need help with a project, you can attach files or documents to an email and send to a customer service representative. 

Hallmark offers the traditional paper cards they’re known for and similar ecards … it’s a reliable place to shop for both types of cards, and the only place if you want a beautiful arrangement of flowers with your card.
