Features
BlueMountain offers a wide range of animated, musical ecards. Verse and music can be customized. Upload images and text to your ecards. Have fun with many additional e-projects like games, screensavers and wallpapers. BlueMountain membership includes an interactive address book and reminders. The reminder can send notices to your email account or as a text message to your cell phone. If you enter a birth year in your reminder birth dates, the service will also suggest age appropriate gifts.

Create & Print products include greeting cards, invitations, stationery, party accessories, and business cards. You can add images and text to the projects, and an envelope wizard is included to help you print envelopes at home.

Security
BlueMountain has the same privacy policy as American Greetings: they will not sell personal information or information from your BlueMountain address book. They use a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt personal information, including name, address, and credit card number. When you send an ecard, your recipient will receive a notification from BlueMountain and a link to the site where the card can be viewed.

Ease of Use:  

BlueMountain navigation is logical and organized. It offers tools like spell check and three viewing options for ecard recipients. Some additional downloads are required to utilize the site to its full potential. You must download a plug-in for Create & Print projects. It’s quick and easy. 

Selection:  

BlueMountain.com has a good selection of cards and print projects covering most occasions. You will find many of the same designs featured on this site as on American Greetings. BlueMountain.com has collaborated with name brand companies to offer designs from Chicken Soup for the Soul, Nickelodeon, Looney Tunes, Elvis, Harley Davidson, and more.

If you’re looking for more unusual categories, you will not find more listings than on the BlueMountain site index. Celebrate a new movie release or a friend’s switch to vegetarianism … or even say thank you for the ecard.  

Quality:  

The ecards are dynamic with decent animation. The interactive ecards offer poor instructions and make playing some of the games difficult.

Create & Print projects are well designed, but the final result will depend on your printer and paper.

They offer email and mail contact methods to BlueMountain and their parent company American Greetings. The comprehensive trouble-shooting guide answered most of our questions and included useful links to additional information.
